About Actually Data Analytics

“We help charities get clearer on their data — so they can trust what it’s telling them and make better decisions because of it.”

Actually Data Analytics grew out of years of working directly with charity teams who were trying to answer relatively straightforward questions — and couldn’t quite trust the data in front of them.

Most of that work started with CRM migrations, data reviews and reporting challenges. And over time, a consistent pattern emerged: organisations weren’t struggling because they lacked tools or ambition. They were struggling because the foundations behind their data and reporting weren’t set up in a way that supported clear, reliable insight.

That’s the problem Actually Data Analytics is built to solve.

What we focus on

We help organisations understand what’s actually happening in their data, build reporting that reflects reality, and ensure their systems support genuine insight — not just data storage.
The aim isn’t to add complexity. It’s to make things clearer, more reliable, and easier to act on.

How we work

Our work is practical and grounded in real situations. We start by understanding what’s happening and where things feel unclear — rather than arriving with a predefined solution and fitting your organisation around it.
From there, we focus on changes that improve confidence in reporting, reduce time spent chasing and fixing issues, and help teams feel genuinely in control of their data. Where possible, we aim to leave you in a position where you can move forward without ongoing reliance on external support.

Who you will be working with

Actually Data Analytics is led by Ant and Mike, who have worked together for a number of years supporting charities with data, systems and reporting. Between them, they bring over 25 years each of experience working inside charities and alongside them — covering client-side delivery, consultancy and technology platforms. They’ve seen first-hand what happens when systems are rushed or reporting isn’t trusted. That experience shapes how they approach every piece of work.

Anthony Fawkes
Director
Ant has over 15 years’ experience working with charities on CRM systems, data structures and reporting.
His background spans both the commercial and non-profit sectors, including work on data warehousing, data processing and supporter data. Much of his work focuses on helping organisations move from uncertainty in their data to a position where they can trust and use it with confidence.
Michael Guy
Director
Mike has extensive experience working with larger not-for-profit teams on CRM implementation and system rollout.
He has also worked on the vendor side, supporting organisations to implement CRM platforms effectively and get more value from them.
His focus is on ensuring that systems are structured in a way that supports reporting and day-to-day use, rather than becoming a barrier.
